Get the taste of hops and leather all up in your face as the Sweet Amber Brew Cafe lines up a big weekend of beer and boxing – yes, that's drinking beer and giving your mates a smack in the chops.
The main cause for occasion is the launch of the venue's third beer, the Portside IPA, which they've seen as a good reason to pour a whole bunch of other hoppy beers too – think along the lines of IPAs, IIPAs, IRAs and IPLs from local brewers like Little Bang, Left Barrel, Pirate Life, Hawkers, Hop Nation and Feral.
Then they decided it might be fun to bring in an inflatable boxing ring to the party and let people settle their arguments about which beer is best by flailing about in a pair of oversized gloves – there'll no doubt be a bit of bar banter being taken to the next level but at least it'll all be settled with a nice pint afterwards.
The beer will be flowing all weekend from Friday with the boxing set up for a laugh on the Saturday only.
