Brooklyn Brewery Beer Dinner at The DOG Hotel (NSW)

There are plenty of American breweries with a presence in Australia these days and, within those, Brooklyn Brewery has become something of a favourite. Since launching a few years ago, the team has become regular visitors to these shores and they even have some beer made Down Under too. And they do enjoy hosting the odd event. Like this one, for example.

It's a seven course degustation at Randwick's DOG Hotel that will be hosted by Brooklyn's Aussie Ambassador and well known industry man Miro Bellini alongside wine (and perhaps now beer) columnist and radio personality Ben Malouf.

The two will be taking you through the following seven course feast of the DOG's American-inspired food, with each course matched quite specifically with a Brooklyn beer - some of which are pretty hard to get your hands on:

  • American Brown with Venison cheeseburger slider, manchego, quince paste & roquette
  • Defender IPA with smoked beer brisket taco, coriander, chili & line salsa, chimmichurri
  • Sorachi Ace saison with smoked salmon, goat's cheese mac 'n' cheese ball
  • Bel Air (sour ale) with a sorbet palate cleanser
  • Local 1 (Belgian strong ale) with mussel brie cheese, pea & asparagus risotto
  • Serpent (Belgian golden ale aged on cider lees in bourbon barrels) with char grilled pork cutlet, pea & mint risotto and apple cider jus
  • Russian Imperial Stout with peanut butter chocolate fondant and pure cream

If you're keen to join them at the table you'll need to make a booking in advance and that can be done here.
