Deadline To Register Beers For The GABS Hottest 100 Kiwi Craft Beers Of 2019

The year is drawing to a close, which means it's time for the GABS Hottest 100 polls to open.

Voting for the 2019 Kiwi poll opens on December 11, which means NZ brewers need to get any beers they'd like considered registered beforehand.

You can do so by heading here to register any eligible beers between December 4 and 16. That's the cutoff point to be certain beer fans will be able to vote for you as soon as the poll opens.

Voting runs from December 18 to January 27, with the countdown taking place on February 1, 2020.

WHO AND WHAT CAN BE ENTERED?

All New Zealand craft beers that were sold commercially in keg, can or bottle from January 1, 2019, including core range and limited edition releases, are eligible. The GABS team ask you to register all of them.

Brewers are encouraged to promote the poll and will be able to access promotional materials from GABS to assist in this. However, breweries MUST NOT offer incentives for voting. This is to ensure an even playing field across the industry and breweries that do risk being booted from the poll.

Kiwi beer brands deemed by GABS as "non-craft", such as Steinlager, are ineligible. International craft brands brewed in New Zealand are also ineligible.

Craft brands brewed by multinational companies or supermarket chains, eg Boundary Road and Monteith's, are eligible.
