Stomping Ground operates out of a bustling brewpub in Collingwood and the brewery's beers are popping up in more places across Australia every month.

If you've got a background working in accounts and payroll, the brewery might have your dream job too.

Accounts Payable and Payroll Guru

Have you ever thought about combining your love of great beer with accounting? Then look no further as we are adding to our accounts team to support the great work we do in our venues and brewery.

We're looking for a passionate overachiever to join our small team and help share our love of great beer with our community and beyond. Having launched almost three years ago, Stomping Ground Brewery & Beer Hall, has brought brewing back to its original stomping ground of Collingwood, Melbourne. We are looking for an Accounts Payable and Payroll Guru to compliment our growing accounts team to work across our hospitality venues and growing brewing operations.

What you’ll do…

The main duties include processing weekly payrolls for 100+ employees, maintaining employee files and journals as well as a strong attention to detail and understanding when it comes to modern award interpretation, payroll tax, superannuation and WorkCover compliance. On the accounts payable side it involves a high level of written and verbal communication skills to ensure AP are kept within terms whilst maintaining excellent relationships with our suppliers. This involves a high number of incoming inquiries, follow up emails and phone calls, processing credit applications, account reconciliations and many, many other general accounts duties as needed.

Are you the one…?

We put a strong emphasis on growth and development of our team and are a small business with big business aspirations so if you are up for the challenge you can come along for the ride with us. A drive to develop your career, work at a furiously competitive pace, be flexible to take on anything that is thrown your way, high attention to detail and a confident phone manner would be essential attributes to possess.

What will really put you above the rest…?

Previous experience in payroll and accounts payable preferable, bonus points for intimate knowledge of the HIGA and FBTMA legislation, and experience with Xero and time-in-attendance software. Above all else you will be easy going and friendly, have high interpersonal skills, be extremely organised with a high attention to detail. A love of post-it notes and a good spreadsheet also wouldn’t go astray.

Whilst our brewery hasn’t been around for long, we have, and we live and breathe our passion for this industry. We want our company values to be reflected in the opportunities and growth we aim to provide for each employee. To reflect this we are looking for someone who respects equality in everything they do, strives for better sustainability practices, and positively adds to our culture.

Applications must include a cover letter detailing why you would be the best fit for this role in our company. It is a full-time role of 38 hours per week, minimal over time and a great culture to work in. Salary $50-55k plus super.

To apply please email roxy@stompingground.beer.

Applications close on April 7, 2019.
