The Flat Rock Brew Cafe has been busy growing over the past year or so and they've managed to pack an awful lot into their little venue.

The brewpub puts out a hugely diverse range of beer styles, produces its own cask ales, has an on-site barrel-ageing program, just won its first medal at the Australian International Beer Awards and they even grow hops in their back garden. if you're into beer, it's the kind of place for you.

But the brewery is only one side of the business with the venue just as well known for its great food and excellent service, combining a great beer experience with a community focus.

So if you're a beer-loving chef or a enjoy sharing your love of beer from behind the bar, now's the time to get in touch as they have two positions open...

Flat Rock Brew Cafe - Bar Manager

The Flat Rock Brew Café is the only brewery in Sydney's Lower North Shore and is one of a very small amount of true brewpubs in Australia. Not only do we brew our own beer onsite, we have a huge range of beers from around the world.

We're currently looking for a Bar Manager with a passion for craft beer to ensure our customers get the best possible beer experience.

The right candidate will be responsible for driving the Flat Rock Brew Café to new levels, working with our brewer and chef to deliver new and exciting events, have a community focus, energetic and lead a fantastic team of staff.

Flat Rock Brew Cafe - Head Chef

As we continue to become known for our great beer, Flat Rock is currently looking for a chef to take our food to another level. We want our food to complement our other offerings through a high quality, interesting and well presented menu.

If you're a beer loving chef, this is the job for you!

Our ideal candidate will fully run the kitchen, including ordering, maintaining careful and efficient stock control, uphold a strict cleaning program and ensure clear communication when working closely with the brewer and bar manager.

Whilst being part of a small team, you will be given a high level of autonomy in developing the menu. Additionally, we hold regular beer related events and group bookings that provide opportunities to showcase our food in interesting ways, including beer matching.

Experience in a similar venue is an advantage, but not essential and an attractive remuneration package is available for the right candidate.
