Job Description: Site Ops Manager
Capital Brewing Co is one of Australia’s fastest-growing craft breweries - we have a position open for a Site Operations and Safety Manager, operating from our production facility at Dairy Road in Canberra.
The Site Ops Manager is a critical role in our team, responsible for:
- Preventative Maintenance
- Repairs
- New Capital Works Project Management
- Safety Management
The Site Ops Manager ensures equipment across our site is properly maintained, functioning effectively and safe for our team to use while at the same time overseeing the safety management system across the business.
The role involves a mix of coordination of contractors, project management and getting on the spanners - you need to be mechanically minded and competent in fixing a variety of strange things.
Our safety management system has seen considerable ongoing investment and is continually improving. Our number one priority is the safety of our staff and customers. You will be the driving force behind ensuring our operations on site are compliant with the safety management system, WHS legislation and industry best practices.
You will be responsible for managing coordination with precinct/building management on works, utilities and other precinct management requirements.
You will need to have a strong track record in a similar role, possess a strong level of mechanical aptitude and be process driven with the ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
You will need to have a positive attitude, be a problem solver and ready to step into a rapidly growing business which presents a constantly changing environment.

Capital Brewing Co has been in operation since April 2016, we occupy 2,500 sqm at Dairy Road in Fyshwick, employing over 65 staff in both Canberra and Sydney.
We believe in investing in the development of our team, accredited training programs and the highest quality equipment from world leading suppliers to deliver consistent, high quality brews to the East Coast of Australia.
You will need to hold a valid driver's licence and a high-risk work licence with forklift and working from heights endorsement or have the ability to obtain one before commencement.
This position commences February 2021 with a competitive salary for the right applicant.
