Boston Brewing are based in Denmark, in WA's Great Southern region, and have been enjoying constant growth and awards success in recent years.

If you'd like to join them, they're hiring a shift brewer and a brewer assistant.


Job Description: Shift Brewer

Maintain and execute all functions according to policy and procedure, safety requirements, and best practice. Tasks include but are not limited to all aspects of raw materials handling, milling of grain, wort production, fermentation monitoring, yeast handling and pitching, clarification, transfers, finished beer monitoring, equipment CIP and general sanitation.

Applicants with commercial brewing experience will be highly regarded.  

Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Execute the necessary production duties including but not limited to wort production, fermentation management, filtration and finishing, and bright beer handling.
  • Ensure that all beer is produced to standards and specification by following recipes and procedures as set by the Head Brewer.
  • Follow best practice and safety requirements dutifully.
  • Maintain brewing, cellaring, clarification and other related documentation in an organized and complete manner.
  • Attend brewery staff meetings as required.
  • Clean and sanitise all equipment and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality.
  • Maintain healthy communication with other department heads.
  • Possess an excellent knowledge of brewing and beer styles beer knowledge.
  • Willingness to participate in festivals and promotional events as needed while representing the company and the brand in a professional manner.
  • Perform all job functions within the structure described in the Employee handbook of policies and procedures at Boston Brewing Co.

Job Requirements:

  • Formal brewing education preferred or a minimum of 2 years as a production / brewer.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with all staff.
  • Organised and detail oriented; accurate record keeping skills.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing setting.
  • Capable of conducting weekly stock takes and reporting to the Head Brewer and GM.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Capable of lifting kegs and grain bags.
  • Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders.
  • Work in small and confined spaces.
  • Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations.
  • Work in loud environment with basic safety accommodations.
  • Read, write and calculate basic algebra.

Job Description: Brewer Assistant / Cellar Hand

Maintain and execute all functions according to policy and procedure, safety requirements, and best practice. Tasks include but are not limited to all aspects of raw materials handling, cleaning kegs, working on the canning line and basic cellar hand duties. 

Applicants with home brewing experience, cellar hand experience to the front of the line. Casual position that may lead to a salary role in the future

Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Maintain healthy communication with other department heads.
  • Cleaning hoses tanks and equipment before and after use
  • Carrying out cellar tasks including beer transfers, barrel work and pumps
  • Wort Production/Brewhouse operation and Cellar operations
  • Stock Management 
  • Filtration & Carbonation
  • Tank & equipment Cleaning
  • Kegging
  • Packaging  - Cans, Bottles and Kegs
  • Participation in concerts, Beer festivals and other events 

Job Requirements:

  • Home brewer or interest in brewing.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail
  • The availability to work flexible hours over a 7-day roster
  • A knowledge of beer practices
  • The ability to work under pressure
