East Bendigo Brewing Co are located in Central Victoria and have a range of different beers under their banner including EBBC, Brookes and 40 Acres.

If you'd like to join them, they're taking on a trainee brewer.

Job Description: Trainee Brewer

We're a fast-growing brewery, into our next phase of expansion. Our leadership team has decades of experience in the industry and we're really clear about where we're going.  We look after all our team and we work hard to roll out our goals

Our brewing team comprises a Lead Brewer and a number of cellar hands.

The Business

The brewery's in Bendigo and we sell across Victoria into a diverse range of supermarkets, bottleshops and pubs. We make, keg and package a range of award winning beers and we work in partnership with our retail and hospitality customers to get the best results

We operate a busy brewery comprising a 2500L brewhouse with 6 20BBL cyclindroconical fermenters and a 25cpm can filler/seamer with supporting systems.

The role

We’re looking for someone who wants a career in the production side of brewing, who’s prepared both to learn on the job and study towards a formal qualification in brewing.

You’ll progress through all aspects of brewing from housekeeping and packaging assembly to packaging line operations, keg cleaning and filling, tank CIP, cellar, fermentation and brewing operations, quality and safety operations and management systems. If you don’t have current brewing experience expect the transition full brewhouse operations to take 18-24 months.

The role will report to our lead brewer.

This role is based at our brewery in East Bendigo.

Who we're looking for

You see yourself as building a career in the brewing industry, being prepared to progress through all the skills you’ll need to make a high quality beverage safely and cost effectively as well as commit time to studying towards a formal qualification in brewing (or already have a qualification).

You’ll need to either have or be currently enrolled and studying towards a relevant brewing qualification such as the Certificate III in Food Processing (Microbrewing).

You’ll be energetic, reliable and want to learn: be able to work safely in a busy environment, and be able to master both the hands-on components of the role as well as the technical engineering, biological and chemical aspects of brewing science.

We'll consider both full and part-time employees, we're totally inclusive and we pay competitively

You'll need:

  • To have completed or be enrolled in a relevant brewing course
  • Be able to work in Australia and meet the current COVID vaccination requirements
  • To be able to meet the physical demands of the role
