Who We Are

Born in Fremantle, Australia – the birthplace of Australian craft brewing – Otherside was started by a bunch of music industry mates who love good beer without the BS. 

Our beers are brewed with the best of ingredients and are naturally preservative-free. We produce a variety of award winning Core Range, Experimental and Seasonal beers. Basically, we make beers we want to drink and then we share them with the world.

So you’d think with all these wins our beers would sell themselves, right? And sometimes they do, for those in the know. But as an independent brewery, we know there is a whole wide world out there of people yet to try us and be converted.

And that’s where you come in.

Who We Want

We need a certain type of person for what we want to achieve in the On-Premise market here in Perth.

This role would ideally suit someone who has recent experience in B2B beverage sales, whether that’s in craft beer or other beverages, who has a fantastic knowledge of hospitality venues in our fair city. You’ll have a passion for staying abreast of both the new and established bars, restaurants and clubs, and be a knowledgeable ambassador of our brand.

We also think this role would suit a Hospitality Manager ready for a change of career. 

As a VM or GM you will have had direct experience in purchasing from beverage wholesale reps and know a little (or a lot!) about what it takes to negotiate a sale and successfully deliver beneficial outcomes to all parties. You’ve built demonstrably great relationships with your suppliers and you’ve enjoyed educating your staff and customers on your offerings, both new and classic. You’re ready for something new that you can build on and grow in.

The Role

This is a Full-Time role based at our Head Office in Myaree, although you’ll be on the road a lot. As our On-Premise specialist, you’ll report to our Sales Director - a top bloke who’s been around the beer block and knows a hell of a lot that you will learn too. 

You’ll be supported by an incredible administrator to assist you with accounting entries in MYOB, and our Marketing team will supply you with the assets you’ll need to make our brand look the business in the venues you sell to. 

You’ll be given the tools you’ll need to enter timely and detailed records in our CRM system so that you can keep track of your relationships and the stages they’re at. You’ll be motivated by your desire to succeed and love of our product.

The flexibility on offer for this role is ideally suited to someone who prefers a varied schedule with flexible hours. The time of day a sale can get made for On-Premise customers is sometimes when the sun is over the yardarm– over a beer or a tasting when venues open. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your day to accomplish your responsibilities to successfully reach your goals.

You’ll meet with the sales team each week to report your progress. You’ll be supported to go forth and introduce our brand to new markets and to maintain great relationships with our existing customers. A company vehicle, phone and laptop will also be provided.

The skills that you are definitely going to need:

  • Proven time management and organisational skills
  • Proactive and clear communication skills – on the phone, in person, via email (Office 365 – Word, Outlook, Excel, Sharepoint)
  • The ability to communicate well with different people to build rapport and trust
  • Capacity to continuously learn, adapt, grow and build your career in sales 
  • The ability to work autonomously and within a team to achieve your goals and be a bloody great ambassador for Otherside Brewing Co. 
  • C Class Driver’s license

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Rhino CRM or other comparable software
