JOB DESCRIPTION: TAPROOM MANAGER

Block ‘n Tackle Brewery are seeking an experienced taproom manager to continue the great vibes and good times enjoyed by all that visit.  We are looking for someone who is experienced, has a love of all things creative in the beer world and enjoys working in a close-knit team.

Duties required are broad, but there is the opportunity to develop a long-lasting legacy. You will work closely with the owner, Operations Manager and brewers to guide the direction of the brewery's growth. 

Job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Overall management of venue; including (but not limited to) staffing, ordering, day-to-day running tasks, managing budgets & KPIs
  • Organizing as well as  executing functions, events & bookings
  • Become a social media manager & market our exciting beers, events & maintain our popular website and online store
  • Organizing and ordering our merchandise & stock
  • Overseeing of the kitchen & food operations, ordering ingredients & becoming a pizza legend
  • Continued improvement of the customer experience with a focus on the events & taproom atmosphere
  • Hands on and operational role working alongside & learning about the vast beer universe  from our brewers
  • Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, council regulations, food safety, WHS & other relevant legislative instruments
  • Adaptability & willingness to work in other areas of the business when needed such as festivals and brewing. 
  • Able to work during the week & weekends, with off site work available  (festivals and other company outings)

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to work autonomously with direction & guidance from the owner of the business
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Genuine desire to build a connection with the local community
  • Previous venue & people management experience
  • Friendly, positive & approachable attitude
  • Overall knowledge of the beer industry & style attributes
  • Current  RSA & Drivers Licence
  • Must have unrestricted Australian work rights
