Job Description: Brewer
Bonehead Brewing is looking for an experienced brewer to join our small and exciting team in Kensington, Melbourne. Bonehead Brewing started production in 2017 with a tight core range and limited release every few weeks focusing on approachable sessionable and well balanced beers.
We operate on a 10HL, 2-vessel system and a Cask SAMS canning line. This is a great opportunity for someone to get involved in all aspects of the brewing process from grain to glass. We are a small team and the person responsible will be reporting directly to the Head Brewer.
- Wort Production/Brewhouse operation
- Cellar management/laboratory
- CIP & Sanitation
- Ability to operate to a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
- Packaging - Cans/Kegs
- Maintaining a small barrel program
- Recipe development (include a rotating 5hL tank for brewery specific ideas)
- General warehousing
- Forklift operation
Our successful candidate will have:
- Minimum one year of commercial brewery experience.
- Ability to work in a small team as well as autonomously.
- Strong work ethic.
- Be Physically Fit (ability to perform labour intensive work - safely).
- Willingness to learn, open to new ideas and contribution to improvement.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Be flexible and able to work around changing production schedules.
- Forklift license is preferred.
This Role is a permanent full-time position.
Typically, a Monday-Friday operation with the odd weekend work for Cellar Management.
Salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on previous experience & skills.
