Love Shack is located in Castlemaine Central VIC. We like to focus on beers that will guide you through a session with mates, with the odd specialty beer thrown in here and there. Our beer catalogue focuses on traditional styles that are brewed with modern brewing methods. For a small brewery, we make a lot of beer, and thanks to our Codi canning line, we’re lucky enough to package a wide variety of beers throughout the year. Education and personal development are of huge importance to us, so the successful candidate can expect opportunities to upskill and improve their knowledge of everything beer and brewing.
Love Shack Brewing Co. opened its doors in 2021 and is more than just a brewery. It's a community hub, serving the good people of Castlemaine through its 150-person venue.
We're on the lookout for an experienced brewer to join our team and help us keep up with production. Working in a small team and compact space means no two days are the same. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks, from wort production to tank cleaning, canning, keg cleaning, and filling. This hands-on role offers an opportunity to expand on your experience across all aspects of the brewing process, keeping things interesting and evolving with us as we grow.
Flexible hours are Available:
Full-time / Part-time - weekend shifts.
Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Grist preparation & milling
- Wort production
- Cellaring
- CIP of tanks, brewhouse, kegs and canning machine
- Canning & kegging of beer, including setting up and packing down equipment
- Beer checks & sensory evaluation
- Warehousing raw materials and packaged beer, including forklift operation
- Keeping the brewery clean & tidy
- Record keeping & administration of batch information
- Performing all tasks safely
