Job Description: Sales Representative
Garage Project is a brewery founded in Wellington, NZ, known for crafting bold, innovative, and beautiful beers. From our humble beginnings in a small garage, we’ve grown into a team of 75+ across NZ and Australia, and now we’re looking for a Sales Representative to join our Melbourne-based team and help us continue our journey.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operation & Marketing Team Lead - as Sales Representative you'll be responsible for building relationships with existing clients, driving new business, and increasing sales. Collaborating with the wider sales team, you’ll represent Garage Project within our trade network, attend industry events, and deliver exceptional customer service. You’ll manage a mix of on-premise, off-premise and customer accounts across Australia, becoming the face of Garage Project while championing our world-class beers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets across your territory.
- Identify and secure new customers, including bars, restaurants, bottle shops, and distributors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional service and support.
- Host tastings, attend events, and promote Garage Project beers to trade and consumers.
- Collaborate with marketing to execute campaigns and promotions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
- Regularly update the team on performance, opportunities, and challenges.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with a passion for sales and a love for craft beer. The ideal candidate will be driven, personable, and skilled at building strong relationships.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- A valid driver’s license and the flexibility to travel as needed.
- At least 2 years of sales experience is preferred, along with 3-5 years of experience in the broader FMCG or hospitality industry.
- A passion for craft beer and a good understanding of the industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with customers and team members.
- An excellent communicator with a knack for navigating tricky situations and providing creative solutions.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- A self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with the wider team.
