JOB DESCRIPTION: COMMUNITY MANAGER
We are on the hunt for a community manager to join our team at Banks Brewery in Seaford, Victoria.
Job purpose:
To manage Banks Brewing community and create customer engagement across digital and physical channels. Banks Brewing is a small batch brewery with a focus on design, good vibes and fresh cold beer. We are extremely passionate about our product, brand & educating our customers about quality beer. This position will require you to manage our brand’s presence digitally and physically.
You'll be in charge of our brand’s voice, connecting and assisting customers, developing and implementing strategies while leading the creation and implementation of social media content. You will play a critical role in shaping our customer’s experience.
This role is an exciting opportunity to join our fun small team. You must be based in Melbourne and be able to work at our brewery in Seaford & also be able to work remotely on occasion.
The community manager's responsibilities at Banks Brewing will involve:
Social Media Platforms
Optimise and increase audience size and engagement, manage comments, respond to all messages, post Instagram stories, manage Facebook accounts, create and update Facebook events, help develop monthly social calendars, routinely engage in post ideation and copywriting, help grow and craft the Banks voice
Digital Campaign Development
Help develop and run our brand’s digital campaign strategy, including paid social media, digital banners, and other organic and non-organic forms of digital marketing
Website and Online Store
Enhance and update design and user experience, optimise organisation and customer flow, ensure the latest and best technologies are being utilised, ensure all information directs towards actionable customer engagement at our taprooms or online store
Manage our daily inflow of customer inquiries
Email Marketing
Build, write, and design weekly newsletters to a variety of audiences
Other Digital Channels
Update, maintain, and drive traffic towards our online store & Taproom.
PR
Cultivate and identify press relationships, act as a friendly liaison for our brand
Creating Content
Create digital content and post on social media platforms while liaising with our graphic designer
This role requires:
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team that is collectively working towards a mutual goal
- Experience behind a camera
- Knowledge of the beer product lifecycle in a modern brewery
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Basic design skills and comfort in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years experience in a similar role
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail in all areas of your work
- Knowledge of beer styles & beer trends
- The maintenance of high standards
- Good software skills
- An inquisitive mind and a preference for prevention rather than cure
- Flexibility to work a rotating 3 - 5 day schedule depending on the applicant.
- Experience with influencer content & all social media platforms
- Work closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts for Wholesale Trade, developing strategies to build further awareness and increase product visibility. Drive e-commerce performance for our Online Store by creating targeted campaigns that enhance customer engagement and streamline the online experience. Oversee in-venue marketing initiatives to boost foot traffic, elevate guest experiences, and strengthen our brand presence.

Remuneration
$70,000 Per Annum PRO RATA + Super
