Job Description: Casual Brewer
At Helios Brewing Company we are a small, tight knit team and are seeking an experienced brewer to assist in a casual role (16-24hrs/week). An immediate start with flexible working arrangements is available for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will join us in covering a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Wort production on our 18 hl Premier brew house.
- Monitor and control fermentation.
- Undertake CIP on different brewery equipment including but not limited to the brew house, fermentation vessels and brite tanks.
- Downstream processing and packaging.
- Conduct quality control testing in all facets of production.
- Keep accurate records of brewing processes, ingredients, and inventory.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or operational issues that arise during brewing and downstream production processes.
- Maintain stock levels of raw materials and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
Prerequisites for the role:
- Professional brewing experience.
- Formal brewing qualifications (preferred but not essential).
- Strong understanding of brewing science, processes, and equipment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
- Physically fit to work in all areas of a brewing facility
