Clare Valley Brewing Co in the heart of South Australia's wine region has been tempting peoples' palates since 2014. Now, with their team in the midst of a growth period, they're in need of a new senior brewer to help lead brewing operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR BREWER - SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Clare Valley Brewing Co has gone through a massive transformation over the past 12 months with a new and improved product portfolio and fantastic new branding. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced brewer who can join us to lead the team on the next stage of our journey.
We are seeking an experienced brewer to take over operations and build on the great work so far. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop seasonal and specialty brews and maintain the high quality of current core products. The successful candidate will need to be willing to relocate to Clare Valley or a short commute away.
What you will be doing:
- Day to day brewery duties
- Organise and carry out all aspects of brewing, cellaring, and packaging (bottle and keg).
- Quality control, and equipment maintenance including cleaning
- Warehousing and stock control
- Continue to produce current recipes for core range beers.
- Develop new recipes of varying styles for seasonal and special release.
- Working closely with the sales team to ensure production can meet trade demands.
- Attend events with the Brand Manager
What you need to bring:
- Minimum 3 year’s commercial brewing experience.
- Passion and a great work ethic.
- The ability to lead by example and manage a small team.
- High standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Ability to work autonomously
- Flexible work hours with occasional weekend/event work required.
- Good understanding of recipe development and experience with barrel ageing.
- Previous experience with a Bottling Line or similar will be beneficial
- Formal brewing qualification will be highly regarded.
- Current forklift licence preferred
