Ballistic Beer has exploded into life. The brewery in Brisbane's south only launched at the very end of last year yet snagged golds at this year's AIBAs. Now they're looking to take on an assistant brewer so they can make even more beer.
JOB DESCRIPTION: ASSISTANT BREWER
Off the back of their rapid growth and recent gold medals at the ABIAs, Ballistic Beer Co are looking to employ an Assistant Brewer to start work Full Time at their Salisbury Brewery in Brisbane. The role is an entry level position that will report directly to the Head Brewer. The position will allow the successful applicant to learn all aspects of operating and working in a commercial brewery. The job is a salaried position and will involve some shift and weekend work.
The successful applicant will be trained to be responsible for:
- Cleaning
- Wort Production
- Fermentation Control
- All Cellar Activities
- Upkeep and Maintenance of Plant and Equipment
- Cleaning
- Quality Control
- Packaging
- Beer Deliveries
- Cleaning
- Bar Work
- Event Attendance
- Have good taste in music
The successful applicant will:
- Be highly motivated
- Be able to take initiative and work unsupervised
- Have good common sense
- Be keen to learn
- Have a sense of humour
- Have good problem solving skills
- Have keen attention to detail
- Be physically able to lift 25kg
Brewing qualifications, fork lift ticket and any trade skills will be looked upon favourably.
Salary: $40-50K pa depending on skills and abilities.
Hours: Min 40hrs per week.
