Job Description: Assistant Manager
Low Buy Liquor, established 16 years ago, is a family owned, independent liquor store in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Our continued success is based upon creating and capitalising on niches in the local liquor market, such as craft beer and boutique wine. Our staff are our biggest asset, and we are looking for an experienced person for the position of Assistant Manager.

Skills and attributes:
- 15+ years experience in liquor retail
- Management experience
- Effective leadership skills
- Ability to nurture a positive and productive working environment
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Extensive product knowledge, especially in wine and craft beer
- Attention to detail
- Computer literacy + previous experience operating POS systems
Key duties:
- Assisting the store manager in all aspects of our busy store including:
- Staff management â rostering, coaching and mentoring
- Inventory management â ordering, stock taking, rotation
- Marketing â In-store promotions, social media campaigns, utilising existing customer database
This is a permanent full-time role, or by negotiation, a part-time role, both on salary (subject to a 3 month probation period).
We will be flexible to attract the right applicant. Shifts range from Tuesday to Sunday and include some evenings.
