Stone & Wood is an Australian success story in the emerging international beer market. After humble beginnings in 2008 their range of beers, led by the flagship Pacific Ale, has ignited consumer interest in the marketplace to a point where they are now operating two breweries to meet demand. The original brewery at Byron Bay has been re-configured to provide capability for short run production, whilst the recently commissioned brewery at nearby Murwillumbah is capable of being scaled up as demand continues to grow.
Stone & Wood have not only created a great brand and a highly respected brewing operation, but they are also building a strong and unique culture. Based on the fabulous lifestyle on offer at Byron Bay and the surrounding Northern Rivers of NSW, their culture is one of “taking it slowly, keeping it simple”. They are seeking a leader who can not only bring their substantial brewing and operational management experience, but a leader who can play an active role in the further development of the workplace culture, and continue to grow with the company.
You will have a strong track record of success in operational brewing environments across planning, brewing, high-speed packaging, quality control, logistics and engineering.
You will have a focus on product quality, development and consistency, whilst introducing standards that will provide sustainable efficiencies and outcomes.
With a number of key brewery expansions under your belt you will have honed your engineering project management capabilities to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Ultimately, you will be a hands-on leader who can harness the energy and enthusiasm of a highly committed team to maintain Stone & Wood’s position as one of Australia’s foremost emerging breweries.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant technical discipline are essential and further qualifications in commercial studies are preferred.
