Hawke’s Brewing Co. is an independent, Australian-owned beer company shaped around the community-centric values of the great former prime minister Bob Hawke. We’re seeking an experienced and self-driven sales leader to grow our award-winning beer business in Canberra, ACT and Southern NSW.
Hawke’s Brewing Co is seeking an experienced and self-driven sales leader to grow our business in Canberra, ACT and Southern NSW. This is a great opportunity to drive business growth and shape the next important stage of our small but growing Australian company in an important market.
The primary focus will be building the distribution footprint and volume of our award-winning beers, Hawke’s Lager (2018 AIBA Trophy - Best Australian Style Lager) and Hawke’s Patio Pale (2018 AIBA Gold Medal – American Style Pale Ale) in both On-Premise and Off-Premise channels. There will also be future additions to our range to oversee and have fun with.
It’s an autonomous role with the freedom to expand the existing Canberran footprint, so we’re seeking an individual who is proactive, outgoing and results-focused. The role will grow with the brand and is expected to become a State Sales Manager position managing a small local team.
The role will include developing local sales strategy, building distribution, developing in-store activity, managing tastings, delivering staff training sessions and running events. There will be opportunities to influence broader business strategy through frequent liaising with the leadership team in Sydney.
The ideal candidate would have existing relationships in On and Off-Premise channels in Canberra and the ACT and demonstrate their ability to build long-lasting customer relationships. Beer sales experience would be a clear advantage. We love working with people with an entrepreneurial mindset, positive attitude and ‘customer first’ approach. A current drivers’ licence and appropriate vehicle as well as a relevant local RSA certification will be required.
