Brewery Operator – Feral Brewing Company
Feral Brewing Company is adding a Brewery Operator to their expanding brewing production team. The successful applicant for this entry level position will need to have an unyielding passion for producing and packaging beer of the highest quality. Brewing, packaging or maintenance experience, formal brewing or trade qualifications would be highly regarded however commercial brewery experience is not a requirement.
Responsibilities
Assist the production team in all aspects of warehousing and brewery operations.
Maintain safety and hygiene standards throughout the brewery.
Assist warehousing operations including receiving deliveries of raw materials, managing and loading beer deliveries and maintaining warehouse organisation and hygiene.
Assist packaging operations including equipment operation, maintenance and cleaning, palletising packaged product and kegging processes
Desired Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work safely, adhere to safe working practices and have the physical capacity to perform the manual tasks associated with the position
- Possess an attention to detail, be well organised and have good time management skills
- Have the desire to work independently and be self-motivated to complete goals on time
- Possess the ability and willingness to learn new skills and a desire to be mentored and coached by other team members
- Have demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess a working knowledge of relevant computer applications, such as computerised control panels and Microsoft Office applications
- Have the desire to work as part of a broad team of people including brewing, sales, marketing, logistics and hospitality operations
Essential requirements
Excellent workplace behaviour, including strong teamwork, integrity and consistency.
A forklift licence and the ability to work shift work hours is essential.
