Brisbane's Ballistic Beer have made a bang since launching three-and-a-half years ago, with the operation now including two breweries and a bar.
The team has big plans for hospo and is hiring a new hospitality manager to steer their venues.
Job Description: Hospitality Manager
Ballistic Beer Co. is a multiple gold-medal winning brewery in Salisbury, Brisbane. The brewery opened three years ago, produces a range of core beers as well as creating innovative seasonal releases, operates three venues and continues to experience rapid growth. Ballistic is looking to continue expanding its venues and is seeking to appoint a Hospitality Manager to manage the portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing quality food and beverage venues, a strong understanding of hospitality systems, procedures and standards and be able to implement them across multiple venues. You will have proven experience in budgets and financial outcomes, with ultimate responsibility for the profitability of the portfolio. You will need experience in venue marketing though you will be able to draw on the Head Office Marketing team.
This role will have you working closely with the executive team to contribute directly to the overall planning of the company and its future growth and you will be responsible for the identification and establishment of new venues in accordance with Ballistic’s core aim of building venues that fit their local communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the overall Operations of all hospitality venues (3 venues and growing)
- Deliver revenue and profit as per agreed business forecasts
- Maintain exceptional standards across the portfolio of premises
- Successfully deliver all operational plans and budgets
- Maintain cohesive teams across the group of venues
- Manage set financial targets and outcomes
- Work with management in various aspects of the business planning process
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- A passion for craft beer and great food
- Previous experience working as a Hospitality Manager across multiple venues
- A proven background in high-performing Food and Beverage venues
- Solid understanding of hospitality procedures and best practices
- An outgoing vibrant personality with drive, enthusiasm and a solution focussed approach
- The ability to work within set budgets to produce consistent results
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic leading from the front
- Experience managing large, diverse and distributed teams
- Have a flexible approach to your working week
- Deliver consistent, high quality customer service - a customer and community mindset is a must
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Possess a full clean drivers' licence and be happy to travel
