JOB DESCRIPTION: NATIONAL SALES MANAGER 

2019 was an amazing year for Mismatch Brewing Company, The Hills Cider Company and Adelaide Hills Distillery (78° Gin). Unprecedented growth in the businesses has established an opportunity to find the right person to help drive growth well into 2020 and beyond as the National Sales Manager.

Are you our National Sales Manager who is ready to take the next step and lead our highly motivated sales team in order to achieve set sales goals, targets and revenue? 

THE ROLE 

The key objective for the National Sales Manager is to plan, direct and execute the sales business strategies and activities of the organisation to achieve national sales and profit targets. 

Through collaborative leadership the National Sales Manager will be responsible for communicating the company vision and creating a positive “can do” culture within the sales organisation – developing a team of professionals passionate about their work and each of the brands. 

CORE FUNCTIONS 

  • Direct the activities of the national sales group for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives. 
  • Increased profit and market share. 
  • Establish and coordinate the national sales objectives and ensure successful execution of the Australian marketing, promotional and programming calendar.
  • Responsible for negotiating and managing national key accounts. 
  • Prepare or arrange for, preparation of the national sales budgets, reports and forecasts and ensure they are presented in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the management of the national sales team. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and the efficiency of staff and procedures. 
  • Maintain necessary contact with key group accounts. 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 

  • 5 plus years senior sales management experience overseeing a B2B sales team. 
  • Prior experience in the beverage industry and its wholesaler network. 
  • Prior experience with working with sales targets and a proven ability to achieve them. 
  • Proven ability to source and secure new business and a track record of achievement. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills.
  • Persuasive and sincere communicator with management and customers
