About This Role

The Brewer reports to the Beerfarmer and is based at our Metricup Brewery. In many ways, you’ll be a Jack or Jill of all things beer in this role, but the successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in commercial brewing procedures and delivering a range of styles Ability to follow company procedures relating to the brewing process, quality control, CIP and  OH+S 
  • Minimum of 2 years commercial brewing experience 
  • Knowledge of maintaining brewing equipment and previous experience being a legend
  • 1 years packaging experience (Keg & Pack)
  • Proven experience of working within a brewery environment 
  • Experience at recording data for QC
  • Experience in Laboratory process;  based on the maintenance of Beer Quality

About You 

If you’re the one for this role, you will be a true beer connoisseur who is able to display the highest level of quality of brewing practices and come with at least 2 years experience in commercial brewing. You won’t make it if you’re not hands on in your approach to creating great beers.

JOB DESCRIPTION: PACKAGING ASSISTANT

 

About This Role

The Packaging assistant reports to the Packaging Manager and is based at Metricup Brewery. You will be responsible for ensuring BeerFarm’s products are packaged to the highest standards and made ready for distribution. Working closely with the Packaging Manager to adhere to various packaging and warehousing processes, including Canning, boxing, kegging and palletising of Beerfarm’ products. 

Other key areas of focus are:

  • Daily operation of our packaging line to meet production forecasts
  • Following company procedures regarding canning line rig-up and shut down and ensuring these are followed and complied with
  • Quality control of products, including seem checks, carbonation, faulty identification and fill heights - pre, during and post run checks
  • Work with other team members to follow a schedule for the packaging of brewery products.
  • Follow BeerFarms QC processes and ensure quality is maintained throughout the packaging process.
  • Assist the packaging manager in maintaining the packaging line by following scheduled maintenance of equipment

Most importantly, how will you be measured so you know if you’re doing a great job? This is how:

  • Meeting the production requirements of the business
  • Consistently meeting of required specifications and QC requirements 
  • Reduction of company wastage targets 
  • Consistently positive customer feedback

About You 

If you’re the one for this role, you will be a beer fanatic with an impeccable sense for detail and quality. who is able to display the highest levels of output day to day. The role requires one years experience in beverage manufacturing. You won’t make it if you’re not hands on in your approach to packaging and for the right candidate there will be a clear progression pathway to the packaging and QC components of the business.

Crucially, we are not just looking for a placeholder in this role, we want you to get passionately involved with the industry and our local area, as well as the product and service we offer. You will be a key part of the packaging team and the right candidate will have a development pathway through this area of the business.
