Capital Brewing Co is one of Australia’s fastest-growing craft breweries - we have a position open for a Packaging Manager, operating from our production facility at Dairy Road in Canberra.
The Packaging Manager is a critical role in our production team and is responsible for ensuring all finished product makes it into cans and kegs to meet the production schedule and is compliant with all quality control critical control checks
Capital Brewing Co operates fully automated packaging operations with high-quality equipment supplied by CODI (USA) and Fibre King (Australia). We believe in buying high quality, reliable equipment that will last.
Capital Brewing Co production currently operates 6 days per week with multiple shifts every day.
You will be responsible for end-to-end management of packaging operations including the daily hands-on operation of all filling, packaging and CIP machinery and equipment and managing staff with a key focus on safety, product quality, continual improvement and efficiency.
You will be responsible for managing all staff rostering, work flow direction, equipment maintenance, compliance with procedures including HACCP and internal operational processes.
You will need to have a strong track record in packaging operations, possess a reasonable level of mechanical aptitude and be process driven with the ability to deliver consistent, accurate results.
You will need to have a positive attitude, be a problem solver and be ready to step into a rapidly growing business which presents a constantly changing environment.

Our number one priority across our entire operation is the safety of our Staff and Customers. You will work closely with our Safety / WHS Manager to continually develop safety and product quality culture across the operation.
Capital Brewing Co has been in operation since April 2016, we occupy 2,500 sqm at Dairy Road in Fyshwick, employing over 65 staff in both Canberra and Sydney.
We believe in investing in the development of our team, accredited training programs and the highest quality equipment from world leading suppliers to deliver consistent, high quality brews to the East Coast of Australia.
You will need to hold a valid driver's licence and a high risk work licence with forklift endorsement or have the ability to to obtain one before commencement.
This position commences mid Jan 2021 with a competitive salary for the right applicant.
