Job Description: Brewer
This is a rare opportunity to join the production team at an eclectic, award-winning brewery in the inner-North of Melbourne.
3 Ravens are Melbourne’s oldest independent brewery, producing award-winning beers from their Thornbury home since 2003, and are currently in the midst of an upgrade to improve energy efficiency and increase capacity. They are looking for an assistant brewer to join their team on a part time basis, with potential to move to a full-time position once the upgrade project is complete. The position will initially be two to three days a week consisting predominantly of cellar work and packaging related tasks, with opportunities to move into the brewhouse in the future.
Relevant experience, skills or studies are favourable but not essential, key attributes will include a positive attitude, problem-solving skills, mechanical competency and good communication skills, and there will be opportunities for career progression relative to the candidates skill set and ambition
Duties will include:
- Cellar work (eg tank CIP, transfers, fining, dry hopping)
- Keg cleaning and filling
- Packaging (preparation, canning, bottling, labelling)
- Housekeeping
