Job Description: Brewer
We’re looking for an all-round brewer to join our team.
The Margaret River Brewhouse is positioned in the beautiful Margaret River town and has quickly earned its title as the town’s brewery.
Working alongside the Head Brewer, this position is a great opportunity to be part of engaging, diverse and rapidly growing business.
The brewhouse pumps out packaged and kegged beers for our punters from our 10hL system with a solid core range and rapidly shifting seasonal releases and one off brews.
Key aspects of the job include:
- Co-ordination of the brewery’s packaging and canning operations.
- Daily operations of the brewery including brewing and guidance of the Assistant Brewer when required.
- Management of raw materials, inventory control and brew scheduling.
- Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Filtration, sanitation and tank transfer procedures.
- Participation in events, festivals, promotions, etc.
- Assist the Head Brewer in implementing key strategic objectives of the business as required and representing the brewery’s brand.
This position requires high levels of brewing proficiency (more than two years experience ideal) and experience in the canning and packaging of beer.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
