Sydney's Wayward have been growing fast and as a result, they have a number of new roles available, with the brewery hiring both a key accounts manager and a sales rep for Sydney's north.

Job Description: Key Accounts Manager

Do you live and breathe craft beer? Do you want to work for an award-winning Sydney craft brewery owned and run by people who are passionate about making great beer? Continued growth of the Wayward and W Seltzer brands has resulted in the creation of a new Sydney-based NSW Sales Manager role. 

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role is responsible for driving sales with key independent retail and hospitality groups, and then working with individual venues and outlets to ensure complete end-to-end strategy execution.

The successful candidate will use their established network of contacts to drive new business partnerships outside of traditional on/off premise environments with large buying groups including online retailers, tourism operators, airlines, cruise ships and sporting grounds across NSW. 

At least three years’ experience in a similar Senior Sales or Key Accounts role within the liquor industry is a key requirement. You will have strong existing relationships with group procurement managers in NSW Retail and Hospitality groups and a comprehensive understanding of distributors and banner groups like ALM/IBA, Paramount, ILG and LMG.

Duties include:

  • Driving business development outside of traditional on/off premise environments, including Online Retail, Airlines, Cruise Ships and Sporting Grounds. 
  • Building on and further developing existing relationships with key NSW Hospitality and Retail groups
  • Supporting and driving sales within these groups by building strong relationships and working closely with stakeholders at a venue level
  • Assisting the National Sales Manager with managing promotional programs for retail banner groups like ALM/IBA, ILG, ILR and LMG

Role requirements:

  • A passion for craft beer and good beer knowledge
  • Proven track record in a similar role, with at least five years of liquor industry experience
  • Highly organised and disciplined business development mindset and strong commercial negotiation skills
  • A team player that loves working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Very good communication, negotiation, and time-management skills
  • Current drivers licence and current RSA
  • Understanding that this is not a 9-5 role and willingness to work when/as needed to achieve the outcomes, including nights/weekends

Job Description: Sell Beer For Wayward In Sydney's North

Do you live and breathe craft beer? Do you want to work for an award-winning Sydney craft brewery owned and run by people who are passionate about making great beer? Due to ongoing growth of the Wayward and W Seltzer brands we’re expanding our Sydney based sales team and we’re looking for a motivated and experienced self-starter to help grow the brand in North-West Sydney and the Northern Beaches, as well in the Blue Mountains, Newcastle and beyond.  

The role will entail working closely with and servicing the needs of existing accounts, while ensuring continued development and new customer acquisition within your territory. You'll also represent Wayward at events and generally be a very visible ambassador for the brand.

We’re looking for someone with previous experience selling beer, wine or spirits to bars and bottleshops who has a good list of contacts in the industry and can hit the ground running.

Duties include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships in the on and off-premise trade
  • Driving growth of the Wayward and W Seltzer brands through new account acquisition
  • Meeting KPI’s around sales figures and account activations
  • Perform merchandising activities in on and off-premise accounts
  • Participate in promotion and activities to promote Wayward and W Seltzer
  • Sales administration and account management
  • Work festivals and events to generate brand awareness and customer tastings

Role requirements:

  • A passion for craft beer and good beer knowledge
  • Proven track record in a sales role (FMCG preferred)
  • Experience in the alcohol industry would be highly regarded
  • A team player that loves working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Very good communication and time-management skills
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Current Drivers Licence and Current RSA
  • Understanding that this is not a 9-5 role and willingness to work when/as needed to achieve the outcomes including nights/weekends
