JOB DESCRIPTION: FINANCE MANAGER
Your Mates Brewing Co. is one of the fastest growing independent breweries in the country and we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to assist with consolidating and growing our finance department capacity as we continue our rapid growth.
Based in one of the most desirable locations in the country, the Sunshine Coast, we currently employ a team of over 40 staff and are about to expand into a new site that will significantly increase our capacity, giving us the potential to distribute nationally.
The company has grown from a dream that our two founders had into one of the most popular brewing companies in Australia. We hold company culture as our highest priority and now we’re in search of a passionate and ambitious Finance Manager to act as the key financial support to the business that will successfully partner with the senior management team to realise the exciting strategic growth plans.
The Role
The main responsibilities for this Finance Manager role are:
- Complete responsibility for all aspects of the finance department
- Timely provision of accurate financial and commercial information, across period end closing, budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Management of complex invoicing process for large wholesale accounts, ensuring payment within agreed terms
- Implementation of comprehensive manufacturing reporting systems and processes to ensure product cost, cost of sales and inventory accuracy
- Effective cash flow management, forecasting and reporting
- Business partnering to provide value add commercial support with view of identifying business process improvement opportunities, operational efficiencies, margin improvements and profit enhancing activities
- Lead and manage the budgeting and forecasting process
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the Finance Team
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory reporting, payroll, BAS and taxes requirements
The Successful Candidate
We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Finance Manager that will take full responsibility for the finance function, ensuring the ongoing provision accurate and timely financial and commercial information to the business.
- CA or CPA qualified, with 5+ years in senior finance role
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing business is essential
- Strong track record of driving financial performance, identifying and supporting the business to implement process improvements and achievement of measurable profit enhancements
- Calm and logical team player, who has experience working in a fast-paced growth environment with the ability to business partner with senior management team or roll up the sleeves when required
- Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship building skills – easily and effectively able to report and communicate financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Analytical, problem solver with an eye for detail – ability to identify trends and quickly mitigate challenges or maximise opportunities
- Combined experience in wholesale, hospitality and ecommerce well regarded
- Team leadership and mentoring skills
- Advance ERP, data management systems, digital database and spreadsheeting skills (Google Suite)
