Dainton Beer have been growing fast of late, expanding both their brewery and the team that keeps the beer train moving.

If you'd like to help keep their back-of-house running smoothly, they're hiring an accountant.


Job Ad: Accountant 

Dainton Beer is one of the most fun and exciting breweries in Australia. We produce high quality, innovative beers that push the boundaries of the craft beer movement - all while having a laugh along the way. 

Our rapid growth means that we are looking for an accountant to join our team at our brewery in Carrum Downs. 

Responsibilities 

  • Providing regular, accurate and timely reporting and analysis directly to the General Manager and other key business managers. 
  • Daily bank and credit card reconciliations 
  • Weekly cash flow reporting and forecasting 
  • Assist with budget/forecast preparation 
  • Onboarding new employees to the company 
  • Oversee regular stock takes at all warehouses 
  • Review stock holdings at various warehouses to ensure correct stock levels are maintained 
  • Assist with demand and production planning 
  • Review supplier invoice and process supplier payments 
  • Review aged debtors and follow up on any overdue accounts 
  • Review and approved credit applications and follow up on trade references - Process weekly payroll including review of timesheets 
  • Periodic tendering of supplier contracts (raw materials, phones, electricity, etc) - Continually improve accounting reporting and processes. 
  • Other ad hoc financial duties required by the business.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including an open and friendly disposition, the ability to listen effectively and ability to relate to a range of issues and maintain confidentiality. 
  • High levels of written skills and accuracy, with an ability to write and/or develop presentations, reports, policies and procedures. 
  • Superior organisational ability and demonstrated self-motivation and initiative in setting goals, prioritising work, managing multiple tasks and attention to detail. 
  • The ability to manage high workload levels, multi-task and meet deadlines within specified time frames. 

Requirements 

  • CA/CPA qualification 
  • Minimum five years accounting experience 
  • Very high level of Excel/Google sheet including financial modeling - Experience using Xero is preferred but not required 
  • Experience with Employment Hero is preferred but not required 
  • Experience in FMCG is preferred but not required
