Job Description: Key Accounts Manager

As Hawke’s approaches its biggest milestone yet, with the impending opening of our fully operational brewery and hospitality arm, it’s time to recruit a Key Account Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and manage existing state retail customer accounts
  • Nurture productive business relationships at venue and customer head office level
  • Develop robust promotional plans and incentive programs to maximise the impact & exposure of our brand portfolio
  • Manage key wholesaler relationships, including ALM and ILG, to ensure supply chain efficiencies 
  • Manage the administration of all pricing and promotional documentation to ensure these are completed and submitted in-line with customer expectations
  • Create and / or update customer contacts in the CRM
  • Actively plan and be involved in all HBC sales team meetings / forums
  • Ensure alignment between national-based arrangements and customer plans
  • Grow HBC retail standards in key account outlets.
  • Implement joint marketing initiatives activities within these customers 

Qualifications and Requirements

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in FMCG retail sales, ideally in liquor sales or retail account management
  • Exceptional relationship building skills to develop and manage customer and internal stakeholder relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of the key drivers to influence effective outcomes
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and make decisions
  • Extremely organised and efficient with strong attention to detail
  • The confidence and ability to take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Experience working with the Independent retail liquor trade and an understanding of the liquor wholesaler network is desirable but not essential
  • Ideally degree qualified
