JOB DESCRIPTION: ASSISTANT BREWER - MELBOURNE

We’re seeking a suitable Assistant Brewer with Logistics experience. The position is based in Richmond, Melbourne, where Mountain Goat’s heart and soul resides.
Primary Duties:
- Manage the flow of inbound raw materials and outbound beer.
- First port of call for couriers, wholesale customers and trucks entering the brewery.
- Responsibility for loading and unloading freight as required for the smooth running of the brewery.
- Responsibility for required paperwork to be in order.
- Develop brewing techniques, master protocols and procedures to a point where you can perform all tasks required in the brewery to a high standard.
- Keep warehouse organized using FIFO methods.
You’ll need:
- A passion for craft beer and the craft beer community.
- Valid Forklift license and over 12months experience on 2.5tonne or above preferred.
- Logistics experience
If you don’t already hold a brewing certification, the opportunity exists to pursue and attain one with the employer assistance.
It’s not shift work, but you’ll need to be flexible with start and finishing times each week.
