Little Creatures has been one of the driving forces responsible for the growth of craft beer in Australia. Now, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced marketing guru with a passion for quality beer to join as Brand Manager.

The Lion Craft Beer Division is now recruiting for an experienced Brand Manager – Little Creatures. 

“Once a Creature, Always a Creature”… those words are uttered by hundreds of Little Creatures team members who have been, gone or are still a part of our ever growing league of Hop Heads. It’s not a gimmick; it’s a genuine sentiment that captures the heart of this eclectic bunch.   

We’re mad for beer, whatever we do derives from, rotates around and returns to beer, and our doors have always been open for anyone whose passion resonates with ours. Because of this we’ve attracted a diverse group of characters and they’ve all become part of our family of Creatures.  

So, let’s get a little more specific about this Little Creatures Brand Manager opportunity. 

You’d be reporting to the Little Creatures Marketing Manager and would work closely with the broader Lion Craft Marketing Team, making sure that you assume full responsibility and accountability for the successful execution of all brand activity for Little Creatures Brewing. This is no tiny gig, you’ll need to hit the ground running, but fear not, you’ll be surrounded by a very supportive team. We’re all intertwined in each other’s business, so you’re never alone.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Little Creatures Strategic brand plan. 

With this, your key areas of responsibilities will be: 

  • Working with the Marketing Manager to develop a long term strategy and initiatives to deliver against our overall Little Creatures and Craft Vision  
  • Leading and developing the annual review and brand planning process for Little Creatures Brewing. 
  • Executing the Annual Brand Plan including: 
    • Working with the Fremantle and Geelong brewing crews, you will be responsible for developing and executing an 18 month Innovation Pipeline and you will collaborate with your Assistant Brand Managers to effectively execute the Innovation plan 
    • Collaborating with the Marketing Communications team in developing and executing a Comms, Media and Digital plan across the Masterbrand. 
    • Working with our Hospitality team to develop and execute a plan to support the growth of both the Fremantle and Geelong Breweries
    • Work with internal partners and the broader Craft Team to execute all Sponsorship + POC + Experiential activity across the Masterbrand 

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate: 

  • A passion for good beer and an understanding of the Craft Beer Segment.
  • Previous Brand Manager experience, with strong marketing and analytical skills and a proven record of delivering against targets 
  • A deep understanding of Brand DNA with experience in developing and delivering a brand strategy and plan to market
  • Innovation experience and a solid understanding of how Brewing, Supply, Marketing and Sales work together to bring a product to market 
  • Experience in developing and delivering a multi-level Communications and Media Plan, including digital, social media, ATL and trade media 
  • Ability to effectively partner internal and external stakeholders – including Sales / Brewing and Hospitality 
  • A commercial understanding of how all functions work together e.g. Supply Chain. Sales, Marketing, Hospitality 
  • A high level of project and venture team management skills 

To become a Creature you will need to show creativity and drive, the ability to think out of the box, challenge the norm and ask “Why?”. It is crucial to be hands on, nimble and take an entrepreneurial approach to craft beer marketing.
