JOB DESCRIPTION: Operations Manager (VIC)

Mornington Peninsula Brewery is one of the shining lights in Australia's ever-expanding boutique brewing industry. Located on the Mornington Peninsula, they have developed a product range that is not only synonymous with the area but also has a national presence in the boutique beer brewing market.

They are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to help the company to achieve its objectives of the becoming one of Australia’s top independent breweries.

The core responsibilities for the ideal candidate will be as follows:

  • Ensuring adherence to our client's existing Quality System which is already in place;
  • Administering the day-to-day operations;
  • Continuously improving the practice and service provided to customers;
  • Managing stock levels;
  • Managing & maintaining all in house facilities;
  • Providing reports & forecasts to the Managing Director on goods and materials, labour costs, production & maintenance costs;
  • Managing logistics and distribution of products, and inward delivery of goods;
  • Having a pivotal role in the training & day to day management of staff members;
  • Overseeing the OH&S function.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5yrs management experience;
  • Managed and developed multiple teams in a similar environment;
  • A tertiary degree or equivalent qualification;
  • Experience in the Brewing or FMCG Industry;
  • Project management/Six Sigma skills & experience;
  • Quality systems training or experience;
  • OH&S Training;
  • Stock management software;
  • A mindset of improvement through productivity;
  • A passion for beer;
  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills and MS Office;
  • Effective Leadership & People Management skills;
  • Effective communication both verbal and written;
  • Work in line with all OH&S requirements.
