JOB DESCRIPTION: PACKAGING MANAGER
Modus Operandi is an award-winning brewery located on Sydney’s scenic Northern Beaches. We’re a work hard, play hard community of people who have an obsession with brewing and drinking great beer! 100% family owned and independent with a brewery / hospitality operation in Mona Vale NSW, we pride ourselves on our handcrafted, award-winning beer and brew a plethora of styles to accommodate our ever expanding thirst for things unique and innovative.
We are looking for a dynamic human being to join our team as a Packaging Manager. The role requires a hard working, ambitious, energetic and creative individual with strong initiative who is ready to take on some key roles in our brewing and canning facility in Mona Vale, NSW.
As Packaging Manager, your demonstrated ability / aptitude will include:
DAY-TO-DAY
- Operating our Wild Goose filler and In-line labeller.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work space.
- Exceptional record keeping and data entry into our Unleashed software (training will be provided).
- Safe handling of chemicals
- Basic understanding of CIP/SIP procedures
- Creative problem solving and mechanical skills.
- Working in an ever changing schedule
- Stock take and reordering of packaging materials
- Organization of logistics
- Ability to lift 20kg over head.
- Knowledge of keg cleaning and filling procedures.
BRAND ADVOCACY AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Supporting Modus Operandi at public events
- Open mindedness and active contribution in all facets/departments of Modus Operandi.
- We are stoked about beer and sharing it with the world, you should be too!
EDUCATION
- Previous experience operating a canning line will give you a serious leg up.
- Previous management role(s) will give you a serious leg up.
- Previous warehousing experience will give you a serious leg up.
- Forklift certification required.
This new position will be a key role in our brewery and we are searching for the right individual to come into work everyday ready to cash checks and break necks. Production is fraught with unexpected delays and mishaps and the ideal candidate will be willing and prepared for some long days as you help us make the best damn beer in the world!
A salary based on qualifications and experience will be negotiated with the right candidate.
