Pro Canning offer the chance for brewers to get their beers into tins without the need for their own canning line.

If you want to help the Pro Canning team get more beer inside aluminium, currently they're hiring a canning line assistant and truck driver.

Job Description: Canning Line Assistant and Truck Driver

Procanning is a beverage canning company that packages everything from craft beer, carbonated beverages, nitro products, coffee, tea and even water. All in aluminum cans. We are currently seeking a new team member to help assist our line operators and transport our equipment all over Victoria with a few interstate trips.  If you are hard working, reliable and looking for a new career in an ever expanding field this is the job for you. 


Responsibilities:

A Procanning Line Assistant is responsible for all aspects of operating a canning line. This role requires you to:

  • Master the ins and outs of operating a CODI CCL45 can filler  
  • Driving our medium rigid truck in a safe manner to and from jobs
  • Extensive cleaning and sanitizing of the equipment
  • Operating our depalatiser and manual can loader
  • Can quality checking
  • Following safe work procedures
  • Working closely with all clients and their staff
  • Setup and operating a Markem-Imaje date coder

Description:

If you have never seen a canning line that's not a problem as long as you have a passion to learn. As Procanning is only 8 months old we are still working out the kinks our self.
A few attributes that will go hand in hand with this role.

  • Previous brewery or packaging experience
  • Mechanically minded: Our lines have busy schedules and often you will be required to fix things on the job or make temporary fixes.
  • Physical fitness: Weather its lifting a beer case or pushing something off the truck this is a very physical job and will require you to be on your feet for long hours.
  • Flexible schedule: As we are mobile your office is the job you are at. This means that your week is entirely dependent on the schedule.
    Often this could be a overnight or multiple night trip.
  • Work ethic: Be proud of the job you are doing and whose liquid you are packaging. Remember you will often see your work on the shelf.

Key points to get the job:

  • Medium rigid truck licence or light rigid truck licence but ready to upgrade ASAP
  • Previous canning or packaging roles.
  • An interest in craft beer and how it is made or beverage industry experience.

Job demands include:

  • Ability to continuously stand or walk
  • Ability to bend, squat and lift frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions

Travel requirements:

  • Ability to travel 4-5 days a week
  • Overnights are expected
