Bickford's is an Australian family-owned beverages company that's been in operation since 1839. 

In recent years, it has moved into craft beer, both through its own brand, HOBO, and Vale Brewing and Fox Hat, which were acquired in 2017, and is after a brand manager to work with that portfolio of beers.

If you’re an energetic, self-motivated marketing professional that wants to work with iconic craft beer brands, this is the job for you!

We’re seeking an experienced savvy Brand Manager to champion our portfolio of brands’ and entrench themselves in the craft beer community. 

Be joined at the hip with our on-site brew team and stay well connected with key influencers (both internally and externally) to deliver bullet-proof strategies to not only grow the awareness, reach and relevance of our brands but also create memorable brand experiences.

Brands within this portfolio: Fox Hat Brewing, Vale Brewing and HOBO Brewing.

This position is based at our Salisbury South Office, Adelaide.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Develop and execute brand growth strategies to build a global footprint
  • Achieve annual volume and profit targets
  • In conjunction with our Events Team, manage the development and execution of all national events
  • Lead and execute a Trade Marketing program that drives tangible financial performance
  • In conjunction with our Brew Team, develop a seasonal beer program, new product pipeline an collaborations
  • Develop innovative communication programs and effectively manage all SEO, EDM and social media channels to drive consumer engagement with our brands
  • Drive internal education on beer to not only our global sales team, but our multiple Visitor Centers

To succeed in this position, you will have the following experience and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ marketing experience, preferably within the Beer/liquor Industry
  • Solid understanding of brand marketing strategies to ensure activity fits with broader marketing objectives
  • Effective negotiation and diplomacy skills; to establish, develop and maintain successful relationships with internal departments
  • Be results orientated and hungry for success and willing to challenge the norm
  • Have a genuine passion for achieving goals and developing the business
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Strong financial acumen and action orientated
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously
