4 Pines is now in its tenth year of operation and it's been quite the journey for the brewery since first opening the doors of its Manly brewpub.

Job Description: Key Account Manager

This role will make you an integral part of the 4 Pines sales team, heading up the account management of two of 4 Pines’ biggest accounts, while also completing regular analysis of sales trends in all channels. You’ll be the glue holding together the 4 Pines Sales and Marketing team, as well as the pivot point between CUB operations, pricing and new product development.

US:

4 Pines was born over a decade ago from a casual conversation between a father and son, post surf, who simply wanted an exceptional beer and options were limited. Fast-forward to today from our first little Brew Pub in Manly our beers are available nationally and going from strength to strength. We’ve entered exciting new territory and have become part of the ABI network of breweries to sky rocket our trajectory into the beer hall of fame.

THE ROLE:

To strongly influence the sales of 4 Pines products in the national accounts, by building strong internal and external customer relationships, and through the day to day management of product ranging and promotional calendars for key customers.

This role will also involve daily analytical and operational tasks, reporting to sales management and providing support for the wider sales and marketing team.

Working Relationships:

Reporting to the National Channel Wolf and Sales Director, and working closely with the greater 4 Pines and CUB Sales and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities:

Building strong internal and external working relationships to influence 4 Pines ranging, promotional programs and share of voice.

  • Working alongside 4 Pines Sales managers to determine strategy in all national accounts
  • Playing an influencer role with CUB NAMs to ensure 4 Pines products are front of mind in all commercial discussions
  • Manage a day to day promotional slotting board within each customer
  • Provide the customer with an alternate source of industry and category data on craft when appropriate

Plan and activate key BTL activity within each banner

  • Work with NAMs and TMs to plan strategic BTL activations in national accounts
  • Activate BTL programs in collaboration with 4 Pines Marketing team and 4 Pines Trade Marketer
  • Complete category analysis as required to inform strategic trade marketing decisions
  • Share learnings and insights from customer specific activations to 4 Pines leadership team

Commercial management and activation of 4 Pines NPD in national accounts

  • Present NPD materials to internal and external customers
  • Ensure NPD is fed into monthly and annual planning calendars
  • Be the 4 Pines lead for category reviews in the national accounts
  • Manage pricing, logistics and in-store activation of NPD within the national accounts

Conduct in-depth analysis to help prepare insights for management team

  • Use of CUB sales reporting systems to pull sales reports across all verticals
  • System owner of Aztec/IRI and Quantium – in-depth reporting for the national accounts
  • Draw insights from sales reports to feed into 4 Pines management team

Provide sales support and complete operational functions for sales and marketing management

  • End-to-end management of 4 Pines NPD within all systems, including new line submissions, pricing/margin calculations, logistics, exclusions and demand
  • Pricing management within CUB, including being across CPI and changes to pricing parameters
  • Link in with the Tech Sales team to manage the monthly KPI reporting of 4 Pines Beer Lovers

YOU:

  • Previous experience working in sales/marketing (extra brownie points for trade or customer marketing functions)
  • Pragmatic approach to analysis and problem solving
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (including delivering articulate presentations)
  • Friendly, positive and approachable attitude with the ability to build tight relationships in a consultative approach
  • Good banter and up for a challenge
  • Deadline driven and action orientated
