Wicked Elf (previously The Little Brewing Company) has been a part of Port Macquarie's beer scene for more than a decade now. If you'd like to brew beer for the coastal operation, they're hiring a brewer.

About the Business

Wicked Elf is a multi-award winning craft brewery (formally The Little Brewing Company) with national presence and international recognition. We produce premium beer in small batches where quality, not quantity is our focus.

We are located in beautiful Port Macquarie, renown for clean water & beaches.

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Brewer with self-initiative and a “can do” attitude to join our small, dedicated and passionate team in this hands on position.

This role requires you to:

  • Brew and package beer
  • Maintain the safe and effective use of machinery
  • Warehouse and monitor stock inventory
  • Working closely with front of house to increase sales
  • Record keep and maintain quality control

Key Attributes, Skills and Experience

Ideally you will have experience in a commercial brewing environment and you will be passionate about consistently producing high quality craft beer.

Essential Criteria

  • A passion for consistently producing high quality craft beer
  • A fastidious approach to hygiene and production sanitary standards
  • Mechanical aptitude and a working ability with tools and machinery
  • Good health and physically fit
  • Availability to work day shifts and weekends as required
  • RSA certification

Preferred Criteria

  • A tertiary qualification in brewing science, or relevant technical degree e.g. chemistry or microbiology
  • Experience in a commercial brewing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake sanitation, brewing, fermentation management, filtration and laboratory processes without supervision
  • Experience monitoring areas of production for quality assurance purposes
  • Administrative experience relating to the keeping of brewing records and the ordering of raw ingredients and packaging
  • A forklift licence
  • Familiarity with Meheen bottling line.

A salary based on experience, skills and qualifications will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
