Job Description: Beer Ambassador
If you live and breathe all that is good beer and are looking to educate and influence through awesome events,
then this is for you. This is not a beginner position, experience is a must. Carwyn has forged a reputation as one of
the premier craft beer venues in Australia – this is your chance to use your knowledge and flair to help take us to
the next level!
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO?
Working closely with the General Manager, we are looking for a Beer Ambassador to implement the Carwyn beer program. Educating our top-notch staff and customers will be your key focus. We will give you the keys and it will be expected of you to deliver high quality masterclasses and beer events. We love to deliver creative and one of a kind events, so you must bring a desire to be different. To keep it exciting, you will also have Duty Manager and Bottleshop/Bar Service shifts when you’re not running masterclasses and events. This means always being on your game with bar/product knowledge, engaging with customers and generally ensuring our joint looks the part!
This is a full-time position, although permanent part time would be considered for the right candidate.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- If you love beer and are ready to put all your knowledge to use, then you are in the right place!
- If you are a certified Cicerone this would come in handy, if you aren’t (yet) you need to be committed to gaining this qualification (with support from us of course!)
- If you love talking, being in front of a camera and engaging with social media communities, then chances are you’ll hit the ground running!
- It goes without saying, you will have a current Victorian RSA accreditation
- At Carwyn we love our customers and they love us -- you need to enjoy customer service and all that comes with it
- We are a hospitality venue, so weekend and night work is non-negotiable
- We expect you to get the job done, no micro managing around here

Training will be provided to the right person, however experience is a must—Duty Manger shifts are also required

This exciting role is a hands-on Cellar Manager to ensure the Carwyn keg rooms and tap systems/equipment are maintained to a high standard. We take cleanliness and beer quality very seriously, so we need this to be your mantra. Setting up the kegs for our many events as well as working nights will be expected. The right person will have a passion for beer and a knack for problem solving. To keep it exciting we throw in some Duty Manager and Bottleshop/Bar Service shifts. This means always being on your game with bar/product knowledge, engaging with customers and generally ensuring our joint looks the part!
