Vote For The Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers

It's time to vote for your favourite beers of the year once again as the Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers poll returns. The annual vote was launched by The Local Taphouse eight years ago and has in recent years been supported by The Crafty Pint and Australian Brews News, with the number of votes doubling each year.

To take part, all you need to do is select your top five beers from 2015 and enter them into the form below. The results will be announced online and at events across the country on Australia Day. One entry will be chosen at random to win a prize pack including a VIP GABS experience valued at up to $1500 when the event returns next May and a year's membership to The Crafty Cabal, our new reader bonus scheme.

Last year's poll saw Feral retain top spot with its Hop Hog (see above), while Stone & Wood's Pacific Ale came second and 4 Pines Pale knocked Little Creatures off the podium for the first time. You can read our analysis of last year's results here and check out the Results Infographic we produced here.

We've also published our state-by-state (and territory) run downs of the best new beers of 2015 if you're in need of some mental refreshment – view them all here. This time around, we've lined up panels of beer lovers and experts in each state to come up with their lists. Also, don't forget to check out our New Beers section to refresh your memories too – there's more than 300 new releases from 2015 listed there.

Anyway, without further ado, here's the voting form: (article continues below)

In terms of changes in 2015, the team behind the poll will be releasing two countdowns. As well as the Hottest 100 presented as it has been in the past eight years, there will also be a Hottest New Aussie Craft Beers rundown only featuring beers released for the first time in 2015. It's the way we present our end of year lists at Crafty and comes in response to requests over the years from voters, in part because the upper reaches of the list each year tend to be occupied by many of the same great beers.

It is also now the GABS, rather than The Local Taphouse, poll with Guy Greenstone, a co-founder of both, explaining: "We felt that making it a GABS poll was a way for us to reach far more people and get more brewers involved."

One of GABS' major sponsors, Dan Murphy's, is also on board to help promote the poll.

The deadline for voting is 11.59pm on January 18, 2016. Happy voting!
