"A thousand thank yous" is a phrase commonly used during gigs by Wayne Coyne, lead singer of The Flaming Lips, a band with whom The Crafty Pint has shared many an adventure. Now, as we close in on the end of 2015, we're going a step further and wishing our readers a million thanks as you prepare for Christmas.
Why? Because we got an early Christmas present when we passed the million page views for the year earlier this month, the first time we've reached that milestone. We're not usually milestone sorts here but knowing that the articles we're posting pretty much every day of the year have been read more than a million times this year feels like something worth celebrating.
Without our growing band of readers (and, of course, the breweries, venues, bottleshops and other beer businesses that support us) there would be little point in The Crafty Pint's existence, so seeing the audience continuing to grow makes us warm and fuzzy inside.
So, in the spirit of Christmas, we thought we'd mark the moment by offering up a gift. Well, two in fact.
We recently launched The Crafty Cabal, the reader bonus scheme that will play a role in our plans to elevate The Crafty Pint's coverage of the Australian craft beer scene to a new level.
