We're a little tardy with this update from The Crafty Cabal, in part because we've been on the road for a couple of supporter events since last time around. Thanks to all who came along for our bar shout at Brewski and those that headed to Mornington Peninsula Brewery for the Barrel Room event and helped polish off the brewery's last keg of Imperial Stout, not to mention a few cellar bottles of Old Pumping Station. No concrete news on the next events, but keep eyes peeled for an invite to a brewery bar birthday bash in the coming days.

ON THE HOP

As part of partnership with Bendigo On The Hop we've secured some more tickets to give away. We've just opened a ballot for members to win one of four tickets, each worth $55, for the event on August 26. We'll pick the winners at random at 5pm on August 11 and notify the winners by email.

We've also got some more tickets available for new Cabal signups so if you or your mates are Victoria based and were thinking of becoming a supporter of the site, now's as good a time as any!

We've picked the three winners in July's Venom Beer prize draw. They are Ben Keane, Christopher Holmes and Leon Hanrahan and we'll be getting cases of the brewing company's Golden Ale, Pale Ale and Black IPA out to them soon.

August's draw will go live later today once we've picked the winners in the last minute Join The Flock ballot for Goose Island's first Flock Party. It's to win one of three cases from Newstead Brewing to celebrate the arrival of their swish new cans. Cans we can't show you just yet as they're keeping them under wraps until next week...

We've also been a little slack at picking monthly winners for the best social pics tagged #craftycabal but now that we've got the lovely Anna on board helping with all such things, we'll pick three from the past three months and get some tasty beer to the winners ASAP.

And, finally for the recent winners, bon voyage to Anthony Kelleher, Alex Norman, Lex Lanham and Mick Shelford as they set sail for Brewoomba tomorrow as competition winners.
