It’s lucky 13 for The Crafty Pint today as we welcome more breweries, bars and bottleshops into the fold, with listings added for venues in Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and South Australia. It’s the next small step in our mission to become an authoritative guide to craft beer in all its many forms in Australia and includes a mixture of those who’ve been doing it for years and some who are still wet behind the craft beer ears. We’d love to be adding more, but the process we’ve set in place, which includes visiting every venue before compiling their listing – something we believe is important for authenticity, isn’t exactly speedy. But we’ll get there in the end…

It takes the number of listings on the site into the 70s. This remains a mere scratch on the surface of the fast-growing craft beer world but it does mean the Beer Finder is starting to fill. Thanks to everyone who’s been in touch with suggestions for places that should be on the site and apologies to those who we haven’t been out to see yet – if anyone’s got a spare DeLorean and flux capacitor handy, we’ll take it! The plan is to take a few trips across various states in the second half of the year so we can make The Crafty Pint what we’ve always envisaged.
