Crafty Cabal Update - April 2018

With Easter behind us, it's time for an update from The Crafty Cabal, our beer lovers bonus scheme for readers who want to support The Crafty Pint and get heaps of good stuff in return.

Before we start, if you put your name in to win tickets to the Yarra Valley Beer & Cider Festival, one of the many GABS sessions, or Tasmania's Fresh Hop Festival, make sure you've checked your inbox as we've picked winners in them all.

So what's new...?

Be Blown Away By Blizzard

Congratulations to Ben Milne, Sigrid Hillier, Owen Leach and Huw Duddy, who will each be getting their hands on a case of Hargreaves Hill beer from last month's main draw.

For April's prize, we've got four mixed cases of Blizzard Brewing's beers to give away. The High Country brewery (pictured at top) has recently revamped its core range, so we thought this was a good way to spread the word.

The cases will feature a mix of:

  • Who's Ros & Trevor North East Ale
  • Bladerunner Belgian Pale
  • Lavender Lager
  • 1550 Lager

We'll pick and notify the winners at the start of May. You can check out our competition rules here or login here to enter the competition now.

Sign Up For GABS

If you've been thinking about signing up to The Crafty Cabal and want to make it GABS Melbourne this year, we can help. While the signup bonuses for most Melbourne and Sydney sessions have been snapped up, we've still got a couple of tickets for the Friday GABS session for new members.

All those who took advantage of the signup bonuses across the seven Melbourne and Sydney sessions should have received their tickets codes by now. If not, get in touch. Meanwhile, you can look out for a forthcoming competition via GABS to win a Crafty Pint hosted tour of GABS in both Melbourne and Sydney – assuming you'd regard time in our presence as a prize worth winning!

The Rest...

Right, a short and sharp update this time around, but there's plenty in the pipeline around a number of upcoming festivals and other events, so keep eyes and ears peeled. First up is likely to be news regarding Cabal bonuses for Bendigo On The Hop and another Good Beer Week Opening Party Cabal special.

Development is also well underway on the Crafty Pint app, a key part of which is making it easier for members to see where offers / deals are available (and, in many cases, help you remember to look for and use them!). It's due to launch for iOS and Android in time for Good Beer Week and will evolve from there.

Other than the above, Cabalistas can now take advantage of the following new deals:

Don't forget to use the NEARBY button to see where your nearest good beer venues are wherever you are or use Crafty Recommends to see which breweries or venues near you have offers for members.

If you're still wondering what The Crafty Cabal is, it's perhaps best described as our equivalent to the subscription service you find community radio stations running. You can access everything we do at The Crafty Pint free of charge but if you want to support us in our good beer mission you can by signing up to the Cabal.

We've created a club of sorts so in return for your hard-earned you get deals and freebies at venues across Australia, invites to exclusive events, entry into heaps of awesome competitions with prizes worth tens of thousands every year and more.

If you enjoy The Crafty Pint, you can become a supporter of our independent journalism.

You can make a donation or sign up for our beer club, The Crafty Cabal, and gain access to exclusive events, giveaways and special deals.
