Info For Wannabe Punks

A while back, everyone’s favourite Scottish crazies BrewDog announced a second opportunity for punters to invest in their business. Equity For Punks allows you to put your money into one of the most amazing success stories of the craft beer revolution. However, due to the wording of the offer documents, many of you were led to believe that it wasn’t actually possible to invest from Australia.

The good news is: you can!

James Watt, who some of you will have met at this year’s Good Beer Week and a handful of other events around Australia, dropped us a line last night to explain the situation:

Whilst we ‘legally’ have to say Australians are excluded but [sic] you can still invest online, as long as you are satisfied of the UK Financial Service Authority’s Regulatory standing and accept the prospectus has been approved by them as a regulatory body. Just enter your Australian address at purchase stage and it should go through fine. The website is all set up to accept American applicants and payments from Australia.’

As for what’s on offer, James and business partner Martin Dickie are offering the following benefits:

  • Benefit financially from our future growth through dividends and also an increase in the value of your shareholding.
  • Lifetime discount in all of our BrewDog bars.
  • Lifetime discount on our online shop.
  • Exclusive first options on all our special and limited edition beers.
  • Invites to our (soon to be legendary) AGMs.
  • Being able to participate in our annual by shareholders, for shareholders beer.
  • Having your say in how the company is run.
  • Owning your very own part of BrewDog.
  • Sell and trade your shares on www.equitypunks.com or at a potential later listing.
  • A welcome pack with some killer, shareholder only BrewDog merchandise including your awesome shareholder ID card.
  • Literally become richer with every BrewDog beer you drink.
