Media Release: Australia's first immersive deep listening series debuts in Sydney's Inner West

This March and April, ALL EARS will transform five of the Inner West’s most dynamic breweries into immersive sonic spaces for an Australian-first deep listening experience. Five breweries. Five iconic albums. Five nights of pure sound.

Inspired by Tokyo’s legendary vinyl bars, ALL EARS is not just about music – it’s about rediscovering the art of truly listening. The event series, curated and hosted by renowned Sydney DJ and cultural tastemaker Andrew Levins, will showcase iconic vinyl albums played in full, heard the way the artist intended – uninterrupted, on high-fidelity sound. Guests will step into an environment designed to heighten every note, every lyric, and every layer of sound, powered by Sonos’ state-of-the-art audio systems.

The series line-up:

  • March 13 – Mixtape | Pink Floyd x Wizard of Oz (Dark Side of the Rainbow)
  • March 19 – Future Brewing | Outkast – Stankonia
  • March 26 – Chuck and Sons Brewing CoINXS - Kick
  • April 3 – Wayward | Radiohead – Kid A
  • April 10 – Wildflower | Mulatu Astatke – Mulatu of Ethiopia

Each ticket ($40 + bf) includes a welcome drink and snack, setting the scene before DJ Levins guides audiences into an unparalleled listening session. Beyond the album, the night will flow into curated genre-specific selections, special guest requests, and a unique atmosphere of pure music appreciation.

Sonos will outfit each brewery with its cutting-edge sound technology, demonstrating how premium audio technology can transform public spaces into deeply immersive sonic environments. The synergy between Sonos and the local breweries will reimagine the possibilities of live music spaces, hospitality venues, and intimate cultural experiences.

“Sonos has always been about bringing people closer to the music they love through incredible sound,” said Rennie Addabbo, APAC General Manager, Sonos. “With ALL EARS, we’re proving that great sound can completely transform a space, making it more immersive, more intimate, and more unforgettable. We can’t wait for audiences to experience music in this way.”

ALL EARS is a collaboration between Sonos and The Inner West Ale Trail, one of the many vibrant Districts across NSW supported through the Office of 24-Hour Economy Commissioner's district development programs designed to facilitate collaboration between districts, local businesses, creatives, artists and other players in the going-out economy.

“Government agencies and councils have been accessing the power of districts for activations for some time now, through events like VIVID and Great Southern Nights. It's exciting to see the private sector beginning to lean into the model," said Michael Rodrigues, 24-Hour Economy Commissioner said.

“While there will always be a place for standalone venues and major hospitality groups in delivering brand partnerships, the co-ordinated district approach gives rise to opportunities for SMEs to participate in medium and large-scale activations. And it's an example of meeting customers where they are or where they want to be, rather than the alternate approach which often relies on the installation of one off event infrastructure. I think this is a great evolution of the district model and I welcome it.”

As a key partner in ALL EARS, the Inner West Ale Trail—a collective of the region’s most exciting independent breweries—is showcasing how beer, culture, and music come together to create world-class experiences. The Inner West is already hailed as the Craft Beer Capital of Australia, and this event further cements its status as a must-visit destination for locals, and interstate and international visitors.

“We created the Inner West Ale Trail to put a spotlight on the incredible independent breweries that have turned this region into an essential stop for beer lovers worldwide,” said Pete Philip, Wayward Brewing and Inner West Ale Trail. “ALL EARS is an amazing way to show how these spaces can evolve into immersive cultural venues, giving people a reason to slow down, listen, and truly experience music.”

The ALL EARS series marks an important step toward redefining nightlife and cultural programming in Sydney. It bridges the gap between music, hospitality, and immersive technology, proving that venues of all sizes can play a role in reimagining the city’s after-dark scene. As Sydney continues to evolve as a global 24-hour city, projects like ALL EARS and the work of the Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner pave the way for a more dynamic, diverse, and inclusive night-time economy.
