Crafty Films: #FREOCRAFTBEER

Craft beer is full of clichés. “Beer people are good people” being the one you maybe hear most often. But it’s only cliché because it’s true.

Here at Offshoot Creative, we’ve been lucky enough in the past few months to be working with Rich Keam. “Who’s Rich Keam?” you may ask. Well he’s also known as Taste Master WA, Winner of Best Jobs in the World, and all round Lucky Bugger… a man paid to eat and drink his way around Western Australia and tell people about via his blog.

I offered to do it for free but there’s always a taller dude with a more lustrous beard waiting in the wings. Oh well, such is life.

Anyway, back to the cliché. In making a series about food and drink in WA we couldn’t ignore craft beer. With the Feral crew on board you’d expect an emphasis on the Swan Valley, a tour of their set up and all manner of demands about all things Feral.

Instead, Brendan’s immediate thought was: “Let’s go to Freo… we’ll show him Little Creatures, the Sail & Anchor, The Monk, Clancy’s Fish Pub Fremantle… hey we could get Mitchy [from Beersine] doing his thing…”

And so a Freo craft crawl is born.
