Getting Flighty

A new monthly event can be added to Victorian beer lovers' calendars with the launch of Atticus Finch’s Beer Flights. Each will feature nine craft beers alongside a tasting plate – plus folks in the know to guide you through the different beers and styles on offer.

The East Brunswick bar kicks off Beer Flights next Thursday (Dec 16) with a selection of beers from Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, Japan and Belgium.

Bar owner Marty McQuilten says: “We’re very excited about the range of tap beers we’ve assembled for the event, including Renaissance Pale Ale exclusive to Atticus Finch.”

Also on tap are the latest batch of Mountain Goat’s great tasting Rare Breed IPA, BrewDog’s Punk IPA and Emerson’s Bookbinder Bitter. Pouring from the bottle are Cantillon Iris Lambic, Willie Simpson’s Seven Sheds Raspberry Honey Wheat Ale, Silly Titje Wit, Hitachino Classic Japanese Ale and Red Hill’s Christmas Ale.

“Come in any time throughout the night and we’ll talk you through each of the beers,” says Marty.

Atticus Finch is at 129 Lygon Street, East Brunswick.
