Or, to give it its full name, Mid Hazy DDH NEPA. Which, in full again, is double dry-hopped New England pale ale.
And, more importantly, a beer that punches well above its mid-strength weight in all ways. Apparently, it's brewed with hops all sourced in the Southern Hemisphere, but if you'd told me it starred classic American variety Amarillo, with all its lively, citrusy goodness, I'd have believed you.
There's sherbety grapefruit-like citrus and pineapple with a dank top note running through proceedings from start to finish, plus enough body alongside the copious hop character to convince you it’s a larger beer. Add in a decent clip of bitterness and you've got as good a hazy mid (or mid hazy) as you could hope for.
